This quilt 'Curved Illusions' - this quilt was personally designed, machine pieced and custom quilted on a longarm machine. Quality fabrics & threads were used in the construction -  measures approx. 70" X 70".
The center Mandala has lots of curvy pieces with a 3D border, which makes it look more traditional. When sewing the mandala, all the seams meet in the center. Many hours were spent custom quilting; each center wedge - I used a continual design, saving 3 different sizes & carefully lining up the designs on each wedge, trying to have every wedge quilted the same. I stitched around each row of the 3D border.
The backing fabric is shown, along with detail photos - polyester batting was used. The binding was machine stitched front & back.

I have been quilting for twenty years, in 2005, one of my quilts was accepted and displayed at the AQS International Quilt Show in Paducah. I am a quilt teacher, designer and have had several engagements as a guest speaker at quilt guilds. I have to say that art quilts are my favorite to design & make. In the past, some of my quilts sold on an online sales site and I have received wonderful reviews.
